# Great Performance, More Expansion: DFI ARS310 Built for High-Bandwidth Edge AI in Micro-ATX

Today’s edge applications demand more than performance alone—they also require high bandwidth, flexible expansion, and efficient system management. The ARS310 addresses these needs with a new-generation Micro-ATX platform built on Intel® Core™ Ultra Arrow Lake-S processors. It supports up to 256GB DDR5-5600 memory, dual PCIe Gen5 ×16 slots, and dual 10GbE connectivity for machine vision, edge AI, and high-resolution imaging workloads. Multiple M.2 expansion options and rich industrial I/O further support flexible system configuration, while DFI’s M.2 Expansion I/O Series extends Serial, USB, LAN, SATA, and eMMC interfaces. Full EXT-OOB remote management also simplifies system maintenance, making ARS310 suitable for medical imaging, robotics, AOI, machine automation, surveillance, and other demanding edge applications.

1.Greater Performance, Greater Expansion Flexibility
Can your current platform keep up as edge workloads demand more computing power, memory, and accelerator expansion? The ARS310-W880/Q870 is an industrial Micro-ATX motherboard powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra 200S series (Arrow Lake-S) processors on the LGA1851 socket. Compared with previous-generation Intel® Core™ platforms, it increases memory capacity to up to 256GB DDR5-5600 and upgrades PCIe expansion to dual PCIe Gen5 ×16 slots for machine vision, edge AI, and high-resolution imaging applications.
2.High-Speed Connectivity, Flexible Expansion
Are growing image sizes and multi-stream data creating bandwidth or storage bottlenecks in your edge system? For these high-bandwidth, data-intensive workloads, the ARS310-W880 provides 2× 10GbE and 2× 2.5GbE connectivity for high-speed transmission and real-time data exchange. Two M.2 M Key slots — PCIe Gen5 ×4 NVMe and PCIe Gen4 ×4 NVMe/SATA — together with 4× SATA3.0 and one M.2 E Key slot provide flexible storage and connectivity expansion. DFI’s M.2 Expansion I/O Series further adds Serial, USB, LAN, SATA, and eMMC interfaces for flexible system integration.
3.Rich I/O with Simplified Integration and Remote Management
Does integrating more cameras, sensors, controllers, and peripheral devices make system deployment and maintenance increasingly complex? The ARS310 provides 6× COM ports and 13× USB ports (4× USB 3.2 Gen 2, 6× USB 3.2 Gen 1, 3× USB 2.0) for broad device integration across automation and edge deployments. Even with upgraded computing performance and PCIe Gen5 expansion, the ARS310 retains full DFI EXT-OOB remote management capabilities, helping reduce on-site service needs and simplify distributed system management.
4.Scalable Performance for Diverse Edge Applications
Does your edge platform need to support diverse workloads across different deployment environments? The ARS310 combines next-generation computing performance, high-bandwidth expansion, and rich industrial connectivity to support demanding applications such as medical imaging, robotics, AOI, machine automation, and surveillance. Four independent display outputs — VGA, 2× DP++, and HDMI — with 4K support on the digital outputs further address visualization needs in imaging-intensive applications. It also supports dTPM 2.0 / fTPM for system security and operates in ambient temperatures from -5°C to 65°C for reliable deployment in industrial environments.
